For health economists · India first, with global comparators

Find the right data for your health economics study

A curated catalogue of evaluation-ready datasets. Each one is tagged by structure (panel, repeated cross-section, administrative), the finest geography it supports, the research designs it can serve, its access conditions and its comparability traps. Every entry links to the source used to check it.

Health-risk hotspots

Country-level shares of people exposed to major health risks, from World Bank Group Scorecard indicators (latest year from 2015 onward). Hover a country for its value and year. The panel lists the ten highest values and the datasets that measure the risk at finer resolution.

Method & sourcing

How this catalogue is built

Verification

  • Checked The entry's rounds, latest release and access were checked against an official or authoritative source on the date shown. The source is linked in the entry.
  • To verify The entry is drafted from the author's knowledge, or a detail (such as a new round's release) could not yet be confirmed. The unconfirmed point is stated in the entry.
  • The catalogue lists metadata only. It does not host or redistribute microdata; access always goes through the custodian.

Map data and scope

  • Hotspot values come from World Bank Group Scorecard vision indicators: food and nutrition insecurity; basic hygiene, sanitation and drinking water (shown as the share without access, 100 minus the reported share); and poverty at $3.00 a day. Only country-years from 2015 onward are shown.
  • No values are estimated or filled in. Countries without data are shown in grey.
  • User guide & issue briefs (PDF, 11 pp.): how to use the Finder, matching data to designs, ten comparability traps, and four short analyses of health issues.
  • Suggest a dataset or a correction: email. New entries are added only with a source link.
